![]() As of May 2021, there are eight such tiers in the game, each of which grants access to increasingly complex and sophisticated materials and equipment. With these materials, it is possible to construct a simple factory and to begin exploring the "Tier" system. After landing, the player must salvage the landing pod for parts with which to construct the HUB, the main base from which most other construction will extend.ĭuring a brief tutorial, the player learns how to mine and process basic ores such as iron and copper. However, the player can move to any other part of the map at any time. This choice affects the resources the player has access to in the early game and the amount of flat land available for easy building. The player has a choice of four starting locations: the Grasslands, the Rocky Desert, the Dune Desert, or the Northern Forest. The player takes the role of an engineer who has been sent to the planet with orders to "colonize" it by building a factory complex for FICSIT. The game is set on an alien planet named "Massage-2(A-B)b" and the playable area is limited to 30 km 2. Unlike most other sandbox games like Factorio, the Satisfactory world is pre-generated every player's map is identical. The factory building aspect of the game has been described as a first-person and 3D version of Factorio. Satisfactory was made available for early access on 19 March 2019 on the Epic Games Store, and 8 June 2020 on Steam, with cross-platform multiplayer. Those exports unlock new buildings that make the next export possible. The initial goal is to build a space elevator and begin supplying the company the player works for (FICSIT Inc.) with increasingly numerous and complex components for their unknown purposes. The player, a pioneer, is dropped onto an alien planet with a handful of tools and must harvest the planet's natural resources to construct increasingly complex factories for automating all resource needs. It is a 3D first-person open world exploration and factory building game. So far, Factorio has the better deal imo, but satisfactory is getting up there slowly.Satisfactory is an upcoming factory simulation game created by Swedish video game developer Coffee Stain Studios. There is a small mod scene already available but it's functionality is limited till they have access to a better kit, so far you can only expect small amounts and a hard way to tell if they work together and work well under multiplayer. Factorio is great in vanilla but modding (as always) is better overall for more interesting systems. I pretty much agree with this and that's why I bought satisfactory because I wanted a 3D "factorio" game even though it's completely different from factorio, I still enjoy it and wish for more content to come out for Satisfactory. If you haven't seen the megabases people have built, then check out some more videos, they are truly amazing. But don't tar another game because of your own proclivities. If you don't enjoy 3D games then that is on you. The environment is extraordinarily beautiful and wonderful to explore. ![]() The clocking mechanics add a different dimension than Factorio has.Ĥ. In the beginning you build small, but later on, the assemblies become HUGE, (as in a very large number of machines).ģ. Building in 3 dimensions changes the way you think about things and organize.Ģ. By ignoring the 3D part, you ignore a huge part of the game opening up the Z axis COMPLETELY changes gameplay.ġ. And I don't care about 3D much at all.Īs I said, it is a completely different game. And that lead me to think that Satisfactory is just literally a dumbed down version of Factorio in 3D. But unless you can give me specifics as of why Satisfactory is actually any good then I'll just fall back on the footage I've seen so far. 引用自 Eagle_of_Fire:I always valued your intelligence and your opinion Katherine.
